My life story: Year 1 (Book 2)

Going to school

As I was getting ready for school, I thought to myself, 'I hope I'm in the same class as all of my friends!' Last year, we were all in one big class so we could get to know each other but this year we were being separated into two smaller classes. There would be twenty people in one class and nineteen in the other one.

When I got to school, the office staff told me to go to Miss Attwood's classroom. So, I did as I was told and walked to Miss Attwood's classroom. When I got there, some children were playing and chatting. None of my friends had arrived yet so I just sat down at a table and drew a picture.

A few minutes later, Olivia arrived! I didn't see her though because I was concentrating on my picture. So, when Olivia had arrived she said, "Hi!" In a really loud and really weird voice. It scared me and I accidentally drew a faint line on my picture. I didn't mind though, I just rubbed it out and put the picture in my bag. Soon, everyone else arrived. I knew this was going to be a good year!
