TYOA: A Change of Plans (Book 9)

We were all sitting in silence at the abandoned church that had become our temporary home. I wondered what the others thought about what had just happened.
We continued to stare at each other.
And I continued to regret joining Nora.
Sure, she was my friend. But there were others here, so why did I feel the need to tag along? Nothing good had happened. I just left school and everything that was there for me. This wasn't some "great adventure" or anything like that. It was just us running, from place to place, never staying anywhere for long.
Except for here.
It had been a week and a half since we came, and five days since the fiasco with the six girls who kidnapped Sahara. It was our biggest failure yet. At least Sandy had been able, so far, to stay at her home. Jason Davidson hadn't appeared, but that might have been bad as well as good.
"Someone say something!" Suddenly burst out of me.
"I have it," Casey said.
