So, you can tell I am not a professional. I’m just some random person who loves dogs! Especially pug and French bulldogs! I just wanted to let all of you know: I am not a professional, I am not an expert! I’m just someone who wrote some article on French Bulldogs! Don’t just read this or some article or videos or anything and just decide you’re not getting a dog! That’s not right! You need to do some research about a dog you want. Not necessarily reading billions of articles. But, I don’t know, learning a little bit about the breed. Like, it’s history, if it’s a family dog and other stuff. You must be interested in this breed so today I’m gonna give you more facts that I forgot to include in my last article about this breed!
Quick Facts
Have you ever wondered why French Bulldogs are so expensive? Well, today you’re gonna find out! No matter where you live they are gonna be expensive compare to other dog breeds! They are expensive because they need C - Sections! I’m not sure how much they cost but it ain’t cheap! Last time, I talked a little bit about their colors. They can be fawn, cream, black, Merle (which can also be called blue or grey), Black and Tan and Brindle. Merle or grey French Bulldogs are slightly more unhealthy. Yup, it’s true. Merle is not an AKC recognized standard color for French bulldogs. Merle is not a natural color. They can have health problems such as eye anomalies, deafness, blindness along with increased fetal mortality rates.
Boston Terrier vs French Bulldogs
Sometimes, a breeder or pet store can trick you into buying the wrong dog. Sometimes, French Bulldogs can be black and white like the picture in the article above. French Bulldogs can look just Boston Terriers. Here’s how to tell if your Frenchie is really a French Bulldog! They are both small breeds that are similar size. French bulldogs are a more muscular and strong breed. While, Boston Terriers are more skinny and leggy. Boston Terriers are known to be the “American Gentlemen” because of its tuxedo-style markings in brindle or black and white. Frenchies have “bat-like” ears and square heads. Boston Terriers have pointed ears and round heads. Neither one are hypoallergenic. Both breeds have minimal shedding and are low maintenance. They both have short stumpy tails. French bulldogs have a more curly tail. French bulldogs and Boston terriers have short snouts and broad, square jaws. They are both loving dogs and great with kids!
