Now they all believe her, because she's dead.
We tried to tell the people of this lost town, what a monster she was living with. But he put on a great act to the public that no one believed the stories we told. We were called liars, and ungrateful teenagers and that we were the monsters for telling such lies.
Susan had a mother, but she "disappeared" two years ago. She finally had enough of all the beatings that she confronted him and fought back. He killed her in front of Susan, then threatened her. She had no way out so she stayed.
I didn't believe her at first, because he seemed like the perfect father and the perfect husband. It wasn't until I was walking to her house and I heard screaming and hollering. Then she ran out and blood was on her face. I ran up to her, to ask her what happened. She just looked back at her house and said nothing, that was when I knew. I knew the truth. I knew that he really was a monster.
I did all that I could to get her help, even if I was made fun of. Even my own parents laughed at me and told me to stop lying and that I shouldn't hang around her much because she was being a bad influence on me. I tried to tell the police, but they all laughed at us. I even told them the truth about Susan's mother but they all believe that she left him to raise her all on his own, and that she was the one in the wrong. No matter what I said or did, nothing helped. Until one day I came up with a plan. A plan to catch him in the act and to lock him up forever.
The day I put my plan in action, was the day that everyone believed. The day started like any other day, screaming and curses words. I got up to the window of their house to film the whole scene, but when I did I was shocked. Disgusted. In pain. He had his hands around her neck and was choking the life out of her. I placed my camera on the window pane and busted in the window to save her, but I was too late. He threw her on the floor and came after me. I ran out and grabbed my phone and hit the emergency button. I ran to my house calling my mom and dad to come and that was when they also saw the man he really was.
After the incident I showed the video to the police and now they all believe her, but it's too late. Now at night, you can hear her screams haunt the town and the people who didn't help her. They listen to it every night, reminding them of their wrong doings and that in her death justice was served.
