A basic, but touching poem of the excitement, sadness or even fear brought by Christmas. Again, don't follow on Twitter or Facebook! Thank you for reading my poems. Maybe you saw me on VPR.com? The windows are glowing
We've got every Christmas Carol on repeat
The snow is swirling down the walls
We're the brightest house on the street
The tree is gonna fall if you put one more ornament on
And the snow shines orange like the crack of dawn
    Sparkling like a topaz
    Crunching like a diamond
Candy canes placed on the tree
Nothing on the plate but crumbs
As an eager kid rip open the presents,
    It's Christmas!
