This is my second poem and it's about going back to school after quarantine. Thanks to Maddy and Getsemani for the inspiration.

    First Day of School:

    I walk through the corridor,
    Kids everywhere,
Eyes down on the floor; they all stare.

    Stumble to first class,
    Get my results,
I have failed; everyone has passed.

    My eyes flicker open,
    What a scare,
I've just woken up from a terrible nightmare.

    I walk through the corridor,
    Kids everywhere,
I'm acting strange but nobody cares.

I run over to my usual seat,
    Receive my grades,
    Straight A's.

There's nothing to worry about; be yourself and everything will be okay.

Nice poem. Most poets think every line has to ryme but it doesn't and I'm so glad you know that just let it flow out and don't over think it 😊
