CHAPTER 1
"EVERYONE GATHER AT HIGHLEDGE FOR A CLAN MEETING!"
Flowerstar's voice could be heard for miles, StormClan thought their leader, Redstar, had called them! Rainpaw poked her head out the medic den. Finally, she thought. "Rainpaw, please step forward." Rainpaw shivered with excitement. "The brave medic, Diamondpool, has now stepped down. Rainpaw shall take his place. I NOW DECLARE RAINPAW AS RAINLEAF!" there was a cheer from the crowd.

Rainleaf looked out at the storming sky. She suddenly remembered what her former mentor had told her. Every hundred moons, the sacrifice of Oceanstar shall come true. It had just been hundred moons.

"DAYFOX!" Rainleaf shouted. She was her littermate. Though Dayfox had become a warrior earlier, they were still besties. "What, Rainleaf?" Dayfox stopped eating her mouse, and turned to look at Rainleaf. "It’s... been.... hundred.... moons..." Dayfox stood, bolt upright. She and Rainleaf were the only ones, including Flowerstar, that knew about Oceanstar's sacrafice. "WHAT? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME EARLIER?" Rainleaf shook her head. "Because I ONLY JUST REMEMBERED, you mousebrain."

Flowerstar ran over to the medic den, only to find Rainleaf and Dayfox blabbering about the sacrifice. "Rainleaf, have all your herbs ready. The battle between StormClan and OceanClan will start in only a moon." Rainleaf nodded, and Dayfox turned to look at the sunset sky...

Rainleaf slowly padded out, into the sunshine. Half a moon had passed, only half a moon to get ready. Dayfox and all the other OceanClan members were gathered at the Highledge. Flowerstar must be telling them, she thought. She heard a gasp from the crowd, yep. Defiantly telling them. "i have all my herbs ready, Flowerstar. Redstar will be surprised!" Flowerstar nodded. Good job, Rainleaf, I think we're ready."

Rainleaf heard a yowl. She turned, to see the battle had begun. The sky was angry. Flowerstar and Redstar were battling one-to-one.
The StormClan medic, Greenpelt, hissed and pounced at Rainleaf. Rainleaf was too quick for him. she swiped at his legs, making him stumble. Greenpelt hissed. He was NOT giving up.

Greenpelt jumped, making Rainleaf fall. Lucky for her, she had a littermate. Dayfox say the two medics fighting, and leaped at Greenpelt, making him stumble. Greenpelt squealed, and ran away. "Thanks, Dayfox." Rainleaf praised, as Dayfox helped her get up.

"Argh!" Flowerstar yelled, as Redstar threw her off balance. "you won't get me that easily!" Flowerstar got up, and leaped onto Redstar, biting hard into his fur. "AAAAAH! STORMCLAN, RETREAT!" Redstar and the hissing StormClan members backed out of OceanClan territory. "AND DON"T COME BACK!" Flowerstar said, her word loud and firm. "But this isn't the end, it's just the beginning...
