If you really want to be close to someone; a friend, lover, family but you are unconsciously scared, then you have a phobia. You want to but it's really hard for you. The other party starts to feel like you don't care, miss or love them but you really do. You have the fear of being vulnerable to someone. You can't open up to the person even if it's the right thing to do. I used to have the same problem. It destroyed my friendship with someone I really liked. I couldn't open up to him. I lied to myself that being vulnerable is for women so I should not do it but I was just scared. Phobia ruins you life, if not now then later. Here's a test to find out whether you have this phobia.
