These are wild animals. Most are from Western Pennsylvania, but a few are out of state.

White-tailed Deer

Very overpopulated. A whole family is living in our backyard, fawn with them.

Turkeys

Of course people here hunt them—it’s a tradition. But their population is still concerningly huge.

Groundhogs

We have a family of them with kits living under our shed. Again, they have population control on them.

Blue Jays

Beautiful, extremely territorial birds.

Cardinals

Famous for their magnificent colored red feathers.

Mourning Doves

Their coo sounds very sad, like they’re mourning.

Sparrows

I’ve seen a lot of different species of them.

Robins

Most everyone has seen them. They are red-breasted.

Chipmunks

One lives in the window-well of the basement.

Squirrels

The difference between a chipmunk and a squirrel is that squirrels are larger and don’t have a stripe down their back.

One of my personal favorite animals.

Bears

I haven’t actually seen them, but there have been a few bear sightings nearby.

Ruby throated hummingbirds

These beautiful birds are known for the speed of their wings and can fly in any direction.

Lots of fish. Trout and sunfish.

Raccoons

Notorious for invading your garbage. Also infamous for having rabies. Don’t ever trust a raccoon that’s out in broad daylight.

Everyone should know pigeons. They can live every where.

Apparently they used to be endangered-but not anymore.

Seen lots of different kinds.

I’ve caught three to four of them.

Dragonflies

One day, there were a couple hundred of them in our (half acre) yard at a time. Scientists are still trying to find out why.

Seventeen year cicadas

They only come out every seventeen years, and this year (2019) they emerged in my area/district.

I’ve seen a few. Apparently they mean good luck 👍🍀

Bats

I’ve seen lots. They are in NO WAY dangerous to humans living in America any more than a squirrel might be.

I have held a snakeskin and seen snakes.

Most people think buffalos. The proper term is actually bison.

I miss my dog so much she was too old so we put her down. We had her sens i was a baby. she was my girl

I have seen all of these animals cuz i live in a rv but we are going to stop. I am sad but i cant wait to have my room back

Cool, 143! Yes, I have some of these animals in my backyard. I have seen probably 4 Bald Eagles. One was at the zoo.

I've never seen a bald eagle before. Probably because I dont live in America. Is there any difference between a bald eagle and an eagle?
