@Angry Woman, I feel you. Personally, I think everyone has a different opinion on mixed race/interracial relationships and the stigma of liking someone of a different race/skin color hasn’t been fully erased from society yet. After all, humans have stuck with these beliefs for a long period of time, since the beginning of evolution. However, do know that you aren’t alone out there. I have a couple of friends and teachers who are interracial, and they’re all extremely funny, charismatic, intelligent, strong, and unique. Their parents are kind and supportive of them and their goals as well. I like a guy who’s a different race as well. We aren't a couple yet, but there’s a lot of chemistry between us and we’re just good friends, even though we’ve just met a couple of months ago. There are also notable famous people out there who have been in interracial relationships, such as Thurgood Marshall(court justice), Nick Vujicic(motivational speaker), and Michael Jackson(singer), to name a few.
To conclude my opinion, don’t listen to the other students in your school and keep on persevering. As long as the guy is nice to you, your friends, and your family(esp your parents), and he’s willing to rough it out for you, your relationship will hold in the long run. Again, I’m not a professional and I don’t know what the future brings, but I wish the best for you and your bf.
