Should I Come Out To My Parents?

This test is to help people decide whether it's the right time to come out as gay, lesbian, bi, pan, trans, etc., to their parents. If you've been wondering if you should (and I think that's probably why you're looking at this quiz), test yourself and find out! And good luck, whatever you ultimately decide to do.

so im bi and I told my mum but she kinda denied it at first but today she said 'its just a phase' like what am I supposed to tell my gf 'oh baby this thing that's called bi and I said I was it, yeah that well it's just a phase' seriously like I won't tell my dad cuz he's homophobic and my sister doesn't really support the LGBTQAI+ so you could say I'm the gay cousin and I'm kinda scared because if my mum tells my dad I feel like something bad will happen for example they would kick me out or call me homophobic words cuz they are actually Christian and I don't know what to do I was actually balling my eyes out an hour ago because I'm an overthinker and I'm depressed so I think you'd know what was in my head, I usually bottle my feelings up and I put on a fake smile what should I do to make her forget that I ever said anything about the flag?

My parents are Indian. And they are very strict, and I'm so so so scared to tell that. I'm just 14!! It's all because of my fricking parents! They let me study in convent(all girls school) and now ๐Ÿ˜ญ I'm bi. But I prefer boys than girls a lot. Uhm yeah I'm so scared to tell anyone about this arghhhhhhh

@ash10 maybe you could leave a (whatever sexuality/gender) flag on the table or somewhere around your house? Rather than trying to talk to them in person which becomes stressful and then you get all panicky.

Hey guys, so i want to come out ( im bi- or maybe sexually fluid, idk?) so i can stop keeping secrets, but my parents basically think that kids are too young to decide that they are LGBTQ+ and dont like to talk about it . I dont think that they would kick me out but everything would be awkward and my mum would probably say, "isnt it fashionable to be bisexual?" And make up stupid things. Im scared, what should i do. Btw im 13 in a few months so yeah

Anyways @ash10, I came out via letter, it's one of the safest things, your parents can think about it longer than if you just tell them

So, I'm 11 and I have had the thoughts of being transgender since May 2020. Every test I take confirms I have gender dysphoria. I want to come out, but I know my parents won't be happy. My dad not too long ago deadnamed Elliot Page and said he was faking being trans. I want to tell them but they are extremely conservative and watch transphobic news. I'm scared.

okay so this is stupid because I'm currently 15 and knew I was bi since I was 12 and evey time I try to talk to my mom I just loose all the courage and start panicking. The past few days my mom would ask if I'm a lesbian for some stupid reasons (for example when I said I wanna move in with my bff) and idk if I should tell her. So what do you guys think?
