I have saved rats from being fed to snakes my two rats were my besties but u do need to understand that when u buy from a pet shop or a snake breeder they don't care about the gentics or the rodents life they just want money and when u buy from a petshop u are supporting them and what they do , have u ever heard of a puppy mill well its like a rodent mill u would be supporting Its sad but if no one buys from petshops and bad breeders then animals from shelters wont be killed and i have volentered at a shelter and 95% of all animals going in never make it out.As sad as it is snakes need to eat.Rodents that are bred for snake food often if not most the time will have health problems like tumors.If u get rodents its best to buy/adopt from a pet rodent breeder or a shelter if u adopt from a shelter u will be saving its/their life!Also male mice need to be kept alone and females need at least one other mouse and all rats need to be in at least pairs in opesitšŸ¤groups.
