What To Ask For Christmas?

It's been a challenging year (OK, so maybe it's been downright rough). And although you haven't been perfect, you've really been very good, all things considered. But are you stumped for what you should ask for this year? There's so much you could choose from...it can be hard to narrow it all down. This list will give you some ideas. Whatever gifts you end up choosing, have a happy and safe holiday season!

  • Place 10
Smell-goods! A great gift for both sexes.
Smell-goods! A great gift for both sexes.

Sets of shower gels, soaps, deodorants. aftershaves and body sprays might seem boring to ask for for Christmas, but they are very practical. They end up lasting way longer than the holiday season because of how useful they are and how long they last. They can also be pretty sexy, depending on what scent you choose. Go ahead and ask! Nothing wrong with wanting to smell nice all year. If you don't think your giver will pick out the right things, ask for a gift card to your fav scent-seller!
  • Place 9
Underwear! Great for males or females.

This might seem like a boring thing to ask for, but it's SO not! If you hadn't noticed, underwear has gotten especially exciting, fun, adventurous and comfy. From jockstraps, thongs and briefs to cheeksters and bikinis and bra and panty sets, undies are what you wear when you're ready to show what's underneath it all - and what could ever be boring about that? If you do decide to ask for underwear this holiday, you'll be covered (get it?) for at least the next year. If you don't think your giver will choose the right things, ask for a gift card to your fav panty-purveyor!
  • Place 8
Things for the kitchen! (We all have one of those, after all.)

It's true that kitchen appliances and accessories might not scream out "fun," but they are quite practical. For example, a good food processor could help you save loads of time when it comes to food prep like chopping veggies. Or for those who love to bake, a mixer can make doing the dough less of an exhausting chore. Who couldn't stand to save a little time and energy? At the very least, you could stay in bed for a bit longer some mornings!

  • Place 7
    A year’s worth of streaming

Instead of getting loaded down with DVDs that you probably won’t ever get around to watching, ask for a year’s worth of streaming. Netflix or Amazon Prime are great choices, and there are countless others, too. Then grab your popcorn and watch whatever you want, whenever you want, to your heart’s content. NOTE: You'll need a device or TV that will allow you to use the streaming service. More on this later.
  • Place 6
A coat (Wait, hear me out!)

If you live in a climate that gets really cold, you should ask for a coat for a holiday gift - but not just any coat. Ask for a really good one that will keep you warm, comfy and happy as you contend with the most punishing winter months. This coat might not provide you with instant gratification or very much fun or excitement. But it will be a tremendous comfort on mornings so cold, you wonder whether you should maybe just call out sick to work!
  • Place 5
    A gym membership

Whether you’re already in shape or not, almost everybody could use a prepaid gym membership. That's because if you don't have to pay for it yourself, you tend to be more inclined to actually GO to the gym, meaning you'll likely stay fitter. Or if going to the gym isn't possible or practical, ask for something that will help you work out at home, like a yoga mat or even a piece of home exercise equipment (think cycle or stair climber). Or you could ask for a "fit-bit" type device to calculate how much you're walking every day. Knowing this will more than likely inspire you to walk more!

  • Place 4
    Cash

Cash is something absolutely anyone could use, but few would ask for (at least not without feeling a little cheeky). Admittedly, some people might be offended to have you ask for "just money" from them - but you'll know who those people are, and will just ask them for socks, haha. The ones who understand you're just making gift shopping easier for them will happily slip you some bills or make a transfer to your Venmo or PayPal account!
  • Place 3
    A streaming stick

Above, one gift suggestion was a year's worth of your favorite streaming service, like Netflix or Hulu. If you already have a smart TV, you're all set to enjoy that gift. But if you just have a regular TV and want to watch a streaming service, ask for a streaming stick. Roku is one of the top ones. It's just one of those things you'd buy for yourself, but would be nice to receive as a gift so you don't have to make the splurge.

  • Place 2
    Rideshare gift cards

If you don't have a vehicle of your own and take public transportation, you know that sometimes, it can fail you, leaving you stranded and wondering what to do. Rather than walk a crazy distance or bug a friend or family member to come get you, just hail a rideshare! Companies like Uber, Lyft and others offer gift cards in a wide range of amounts, so you can ask for this as a main gift (if you think you'd use it a lot) or as a stocking stuffer (for the occasional emergency). You'll never get stuck again!
  • Place 1
    Gift to your fav charity

OK, admittedly, this is a gift most people won't go for. After all, the holidays are one of the few times when people come around wanting to give you what YOU want. But if you're the rare type who'd rather give than receive, and/or you pretty much already have everything you want and need, ask your kind gift-givers to donate to your favorite charity or charities this year. These organizations are always in need, especially during economic downturns. Depending on what charity scheme you choose, you might even get to see the good that gets done with your specific gift. Aren't you kind! xo

I'm pretty sure the quiz that is supposed to help us decide what we want for Christmas, not ask us what we want...

If you don't want toys, don't want tickets, and don't want a pet, i suggest not doing this quiz
